We are hiring a Houston-based Immigration Attorney to join our boutique, high-impact immigration firm. This role offers pay well above national averages and the opportunity to focus on substantive legal work that truly requires a law degree, not administrative tasks or clerical overload. Though you must live in or near Houston (with the ability to travel nationwide as needed for Court), most of your work can be done remotely. Access to our downtown office is optional and offered for your convenience.

This is not an entry-level position. We’re looking for someone with solid experience in immigration law who’s ready to take ownership. You’ll represent clients in both affirmative and defensive immigration matters, review paralegal work, draft and edit persuasive filings, and review intake findings to determine the best course of action for a case.

Types of matters you'll deal with: Humanitarian relief, Asylum, Removal Defense, Family Petitions, Consular Processing, I-601A and I-212 Waivers, NIW, DACA, and TPS.

If you’re at the point in your career where you want substance without the chaos, this role gives you room to do your best work.

Compensation:

$140,000 - $160,000 yearly

  • Work with paralegals and support staff to ensure cases move forward efficiently.

  • Address high-level client questions that require attorney involvement.
  • Maintain a professional, ethical, and compassionate approach in all interactions.
Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree and active license to practice law in the United States.
  • Confidence in representing clients before immigration courts and agencies (USCIS), including conducting hearings and interviews.
  • Proved experience with immigration law, especially asylum and family petitions.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide for court appearances when needed.
  • Ability to manage cases independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines reliably.
  • Excellent communication skills -both written and oral- and a commitment to professional, ethical representation of clients.
  • Commitment to client-centered advocacy and willingness to contribute to a growing, dynamic team.
