Immigration Officer

Doha, Qatar

Job Summary:


The Officer will be coordinating with the appropriate public authorities, such as the Ministry of Interior, to ensure timely acquisition of all necessary government approvals for our employees and clients. This includes handling immigration services such as business visas, work visas, medical commission residency permits, transfer of sponsorship, etc.


The Officer is acting as a liaison between our employees/clients and government entities to manage administrative tasks, ensure legal compliance, and facilitate business operations. He/She will be responsible to ensure adherence to labour laws and managing applications with various government bodies.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and track all MOL related service requests within the approved SLAs.
  • Provide regular updates to management on MOL regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of MOL interactions and documentation.
  • Manage client related government documentation, including labour approval, change employer requests, work visa applications, temporary work visa requests, profession change applications, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with Immigration regulations in addition to compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic reports and presentations related to Work Permits section.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align advocacy efforts and messaging.
  • Liaise with various government entities as per business needs.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, public relations, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of legislative processes and government structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
