Import Account Representative

• Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Prepare and analyze import costing sheets including freight, insurance, customs duties, and taxes.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in import bills.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and customs brokers for timely clearance and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, customs duties).
• Monitor foreign currency payments and ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices.
• Record landed cost entries and track inventory valuation accurately.
• Support audits by providing necessary import documentation and reports.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting import-related costs.
