
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete import cycle from order placement to final clearance.
- Manage and process Letters of Credit (LC) including:
- LC opening, amendments, and documentation
- Coordination with banks and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with LC terms and conditions
- Coordinate with international vendors, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
- Prepare and verify all import documentation, including:
- Bill of Lading
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Form E
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance documents
- Ensure timely shipment tracking, delivery, and clearance.
- Liaise with clearing agents for custom clearance and duty processing.
- Maintain proper records of shipments, LC documents, and costs.
- Ensure compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and customs regulations.
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for payments, duties, and taxes.
- Negotiate freight rates and manage logistics cost efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration / Finance.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in import operations with LC handling.
- Strong knowledge of LC procedures, banking coordination, and import documentation.
- Familiarity with Pakistan import regulations and SBP requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (especially with international suppliers and banks).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines effectively.
