Import & Export Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Import & Export Manager to oversee and manage all import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in customs clearance, coordination with clearing agents and freight forwarders, and ensuring full regulatory compliance while controlling logistics costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and manage all import and export shipments, including complete documentation.
• Coordinate closely with clearing agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and banks.
• Ensure strict compliance with customs laws, trade regulations, and government requirements.
• Monitor and control freight costs, and actively avoid demurrage and detention charges.
• Track shipment status and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, reports, and documentation.
• Liaise with customs and regulatory authorities to resolve operational issues efficiently.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Clearance time per shipment
• Compliance and audit success rate
• Freight and duty cost savings
• On-time delivery percentage
• Zero penalties, fines, or regulatory violations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or Commerce
• Professional certification in Import & Export or Supply Chain Management (preferred)

Experience Requirements:

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations
• Strong practical knowledge of customs clearance procedures
• Proven experience working with customs authorities, banks, clearing agents, and regulatory bodies

Key Strengths & Skills:

• Strong coordination and negotiation skills with agents and service providers
• Excellent understanding of trade documentation and compliance
• Ability to work independently and handle shipments end-to-end
• Strong reporting and record-keeping skills

Age Limit:

• Maximum 35 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs75,000.00 per month
