Import Officer

Job Description:

The responsibilities of the Import Officer includes following but are not limited to these:

• Manage end-to-end import processes from purchase order to final delivery.
• Prepare and review import documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping companies.
• Ensure compliance with local customs laws and international trade regulations.
• Track shipments and update internal departments on delivery status..
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions.
• Ensure timely payment of duties and customs clearance charges.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in the same domain preferably in the large manufacturing setup

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s from a reputable university
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and logistics
• Excellent verbal & written communication and negotiation skills
• SAP working exposure is preferred for this position

Location: SITE Area, Karachi, Pakistan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs55,000.00 per month
