Job description:

  • Coordinate and execute all import activities, from order placement to final delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage customs documentation and filings, such as import declarations, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
  • Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and other external partners to facilitate swift customs clearance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor shipment tracking systems to provide timely updates on the status of imports, identify delays, and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Ensure full compliance with import regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance management standards to mitigate risks and avoid penalties.
  • Utilize logistics management systems to maintain accurate records of all import transactions, document storage, and filing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of import documentation and processes to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to customs compliance standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in import laws, regulations, and industry best practices to provide informed guidance and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication related to import shipments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in import operations by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending optimized solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to import activities, shipment statuses, and customs compliance for management review.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all corporate and customer data related to import transactions.
