The Import Officer is responsible for managing the complete import process of machinery, spare parts, and industrial equipment. This role ensures timely customs clearance, compliance with import regulations, coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and government authorities while maintaining accurate documentation and controlling import costs.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage end-to-end import operations for machinery and spare parts.

· Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.

· Prepare and verify import documents (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB, COO, LC documents, I-Form, etc.).

· Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with import regulations.

· Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status.

· Coordinate with banks for LC, TT, and import-related documentation.

· Arrange transportation from port to warehouse.

· Monitor import costs, duties, and logistics expenses.

· Maintain accurate import records and shipment reports.

· Liaise with customs authorities and resolve import-related issues.

· Ensure timely receipt of imported goods and coordinate with the warehouse.

· Support procurement and supply chain teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in industrial machinery, engineering equipment, heavy equipment, or technical products.
• Hand-on experience in SAP operations and documentation preparations.
• Ability to prepare and maintain SAP-related inventory and warehouse documentation.
