About the role
This role will be a six months contractual role.
Key responsibilities
- Managing import processes for Turkey inbound shipment from other Kerry sites to floor stock
- Working directly with suppliers to provide support with shipping documents for import clearance
- Coordination of freight booking with 3rd party vendors and freight forwarders to provide the most cost‑effective and timely transport method and track the location of the shipments
- Maintaining accurate and complete records for all import transactions and ensuring smooth flow of information to all related parties including suppliers and internal parties.
- Monitoring topics on matters like tariffs, insurance, and quotas
- Consulting with customs agents to ease passage of shipments through customs
- Liaising with Supply Chain, warehouse, government agencies and freight forwarders to ensure open communication with regards to the import process and compliance
- Performing other ad‑hoc duties as and when required
- Collaborating with relevant departments in existing and emerging processes related to the function; performing duties in alignment with Kerry’s values, demonstrating open‑mindedness, inclusiveness, and ownership
- Managing investment incentive processes (Yatırım Teşvik) including preparation of required documentation, coordination with government authorities, and ensuring compliance with incentive regulations
- Overseeing machinery import procedures in line with TSE (Turkish Standards Institution) requirements, ensuring certification, technical conformity, and smooth customs clearance for industrial equipment
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Min 3 years import operation experience* Familiarity with INCOTERMS and international logistics practices
- Know-how on advanced software, systems and IT tools
- Good Turkish & English Language (spoken and written)
- Good clerical and administration skills
