Key responsibilities for inbound
- Handle inquiries: Respond to a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and online chats from potential customers.
- Provide product knowledge: Answer customer questions about products, services, pricing, and availability.
- Nurture leads: Convert qualified leads from marketing into sales opportunities by understanding their needs and offering solutions.
- Problem-solve: Assist customers with issues, complaints, and technical support to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Process sales: Manage the sales process from qualification to closing, which can include preparing contracts and processing orders.
- Customer relationship management: Maintain strong client relationships through active listening and consistent follow-ups.
- Data entry: Use CRM systems (like Salesforce or HubSpot) to track customer interactions and manage data.
- Collaborate: Work with internal departments to meet customer needs and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Achieve goals: Meet or exceed sales targets by successfully turning inquiries into revenue.
Key responsibilities for outbound
- Prospecting and lead generation: Identify potential customers by researching target markets, using social media, attending events, and using referrals.
- Outreach: Conduct outbound calls and emails to introduce products/services, gauge interest, and set appointments.
- Sales and closing: Present products, explain benefits, handle objections, and close deals with prospects.
- Database management: Create, maintain, and update customer information and interaction records in a CRM system.
- Customer relationship management: Build and maintain client relationships through follow-up and by addressing needs or concerns.
- Collaboration: Work with sales and marketing teams to refine strategies and meet goals.
- Reporting: Track sales activities and provide forecasts or reports to management.
