Incharge - Lamination

Job Summary

The Lamination In-Charge is responsible for overseeing day-to-day lamination operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and machines in a flexible packaging setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all lamination activities (Solvent-based / Solvent-less / Extrusion, as applicable)
• Plan daily production schedules as per order priorities
• Ensure proper machine settings, adhesive mixing, coating weight, and curing parameters
• Monitor quality of laminated films (bond strength, GSM, appearance, defects)
• Reduce wastage and improve productivity
• Coordinate with Printing, Slitting, Quality, and Maintenance departments
• Handle manpower allocation, shift planning, and operator training
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety, and housekeeping standards (5S)
• Troubleshoot lamination defects and machine breakdowns
• Maintain production records, reports, and batch traceability
• Ensure timely material availability (films, adhesives, solvents)
• Support audits (ISO / BRC / FSSC / customer audits if applicable)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of lamination processes and materials
• Understanding of flexible packaging structures and adhesives
• Ability to lead and manage shop-floor teams
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic computer knowledge (production reports, emails)
• Quality- and safety-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• B.Tech (Preferred)
• Technical training in lamination machines is an added advantage

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in lamination within a flexible packaging industry

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts (Day/Night)
• Factory / shop-floor environment
