Independent Operator – OLÉ Mexican Foods
Location: Varies by Territory- Coral Springs, FL
Business Model: Independent Contractor / Route Owner
Overview:
As an Independent Operator for OLÉ Mexican Foods, you will operate under a service agreement, a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) route distributing OLÉ’s high-quality tortillas and tortillas chips products to retail locations within a defined territory. This is an ideal opportunity for motivated individuals who want to build and grow their own business backed by a trusted national brand.
Earning Potential & Startup Needs:
- Gross Income Potential: $1,000–$2,500+ per week (based on route size and performance).
- Startup Investment:
- Initial Down Payment: $2,000–$4,000+ (Base on credit score)
- Required Security Deposit (Refundable): This deposit is base off of last 13 weeks retail sales -Your down payment goes towards this Required Security Deposit
- Equipment: Box truck or large enclosed trailer required, an android devise and thermal printer
- Must have an business entity (LLC / Corp) and Commercial Business Insurance
- 3 weeks route orientation offered
With minimal upfront investment, you can quickly build a scalable business in a high-demand industry. Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver fresh OLÉ products to retail stores on a suggested scheduled route itinerary
- Maintain strong relationships with store managers and decision-makers.
- Execute in-store merchandising: restocking shelves, rotating product, and building displays.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand your customer base.
- Partner with OLÉ sales managers to align goals, share progress, and improve service.
- Visit stores regularly to address stock issues, gain promotional space, and support retail events.
- Review out-of-stock reports and adjust inventory orders accordingly.
- Follow all DSD operational standards.
Business Ownership Duties:
- Sales & Customer Service: Own the relationship with every store on your route. Be reliable, professional, and solutions-oriented.
- Financial Management: You are responsible for all operating expenses, including:
- Truck maintenance
- Fuel and insurance
- Licensing, tolls, and taxes
- Storage space (if required)
- Time Management: Plan your route efficiently to meet store expectations and retail windows.
- Compliance: Ensure route paperwork is organized, truck inventory is accurate, and all safety procedures are followed.
