Job Description: Indirect Procurement Manager
Location
: 6th of October City - Automotive Assembly Plant
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the procurement of indirect goods and services—including production equipment, tools, PPEs, process materials, maintenance / operations, IT, facility services, and all administrative services—ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and alignment with the operational and strategic goals of the automotive assembly business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories.

Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Lead RFI/RFQ processes to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Supplier Relationship Management

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers.

Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure reliability and quality.

Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).
Cost Optimization & Budget Control

Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through vendor consolidation and strategic negotiations.

Track procurement spend and savings; report performance against budget.

Collaborate with finance to ensure procurement aligns with financial targets.
Risk Management & Compliance

Standardize procurement processes and implement best practices across the organization.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, contract terms, and market volatility, to ensure business continuity.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with departments such as Operations, Finance, IT, and HR to understand needs and align procurement strategies.

Participate in capital investment planning and support sourcing of capital equipment.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.

Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent are a plus.

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement, including at least 3 years in a managerial role focused on indirect procurement within
automotive or manufacturing
environment.

Fluent in Arabic & English.

Deep understanding of SAP system is a must.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in spend analysis and reporting.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory environment in Egypt.
