Industrial Cleaning Coordinator – Runtech Industrial Cleaning Services

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Industrial Cleaning Coordinator to support operational delivery within our Industrial Cleaning Services division based in Scunthorpe.

This role is ideal for an operational leader with proven experience in heavy industrial cleaning environments and a strong focus on safety, service delivery, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

The position will primarily support operations in Scunthorpe, with periodic shutdown work across the Northern region customer sites in line with business demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day delivery of Industrial Cleaning operations across Scunthorpe and additional customer locations including Sheffield and Hartlepool.
  • Lead and coordinate multiple operational teams, including workforce planning, scheduling, recruitment, and absence management.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, customer standards, and company procedures.
  • Scope incoming work accurately to develop safe systems of work and audit activities to maintain compliance standards.
  • Coach and develop Team Leaders and Operators, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to support operational and business objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, service performance, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory or coordination experience within industrial cleaning or heavy industrial operations.
  • Experience of Industrial Vacuum Units and High-Pressure Water Jetting operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements and industry best practice; knowledge of Water Jetting Association standards is desirable.
  • Demonstrable track record in improving operational standards, welfare, vehicle presentation, and asset management.
  • Knowledge of HGV Operator Licensing (OLAT), tachograph regulations, driver hours, and commercial vehicle compliance would be advantageous.
  • Minimum IOSH Managing Safely qualification with practical application experience.
  • Previous experience delivering contract services to national or global customers is desirable.
  • Strong compliance management experience including HAVS monitoring, inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability and confidence operating in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
