Job Title: Industrial Engineer (IE) – Western Category
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement methods to improve productivity and efficiency in the Western apparel production lines.
- Conduct time & motion studies and set standard minute values (SMVs) for different operations.
- Plan and balance production lines to achieve daily output and efficiency targets.
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements for Denim, Non-Denim, Wovens, Knitwear, and Suiting.
- Prepare capacity studies and resource planning for new styles and orders.
- Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Monitor quality at each stage of production and recommend corrective actions to maintain buyer standards.
- Provide training and guidance to supervisors and operators on best work methods.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and compliance.
- Prepare reports on efficiency, manpower utilization, and productivity KPIs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as an IE in garment manufacturing, preferably in Western apparel.
- Strong knowledge of production processes in Denim, Non-Denim, Knitwear, Wovens, and Suiting.
- Proficiency in time & motion studies, line balancing, and efficiency improvement tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office
