Infant Lead Teacher

Job Title: Infant Teacher
Location: Imagination Station Early Learning Center
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

About the Role

Imagination Station Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and detail-oriented Infant Teacher to join our team. This role is critical in supporting the growth and development of our youngest learners by maintaining consistent routines, meeting each child’s individual needs, and ensuring accurate daily documentation for families and licensing compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, responsive care to infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are consistently met
  • Follow and maintain structured daily routines, including feeding, diapering, sleeping, and play schedules
  • Accurately document all daily activities, including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental milestones
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in alignment with licensing and health regulations
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of infant feeding practices, including bottle preparation, feeding schedules, and safe feeding techniques
  • Perform proper diapering procedures in accordance with sanitation and licensing standards
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on their child’s day and overall well-being
  • Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that support sensory, motor, and cognitive development
  • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to ensure consistency in care and routines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting is required
  • Knowledge of infant care practices, including feeding, diapering, and safe sleep guidelines, is required
  • Strong understanding of the importance of routine, consistency, and documentation is required
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong attendance is required
  • Excellent communication skills with both families and team members is required
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • A Negative One-Step TB test result
  • Must meet all continued education requirements and NV childcare licensing requirements.
  • Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to take frequent walks; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls, and talk to and hear voices at many levels. May be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.
  • Must have specific visual abilities, including the ability to see up close and at a distance, distinguish colors, and have peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Must be able to safely lift 15-50 lbs.

Employment Type
Full-time employment with open flexibility in scheduling.

Wage Range:

  • Competitive salary based on relevant years of experience, highest level of education, and performance evaluation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
