Job Overview

At Primrose Schools, Infant Teachers play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where our youngest learners can grow and thrive. Infant Teachers are responsible for supporting the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of infants while building strong relationships with families and maintaining the high standards of care and education that Primrose Schools are known for.

The Infant Teacher works closely with other classroom teachers and school leadership to implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure that all health, safety, and licensing requirements are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, responsive care to infants including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting nap schedules
  • Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment where infants feel safe, loved, and supported
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, motor development, and early communication
  • Maintain constant supervision of infants to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Follow all state licensing regulations and Primrose policies related to infant care and classroom management
  • Keep the classroom clean, sanitized, and organized according to health and safety standards
  • Observe and document children’s development and milestones
  • Communicate daily with families about their child’s activities, feeding, naps, and overall day
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and school leadership to support classroom success
  • Participate in school events, trainings, and team meetings

  • Follow all safety procedures, including safe sleep practices and sanitation protocols

They are eager to learn about and explore their world, and through singing, dancing, and storytelling, you’ll provide a safe and loving environment that nurtures the social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development of each child.
