Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where preschool-aged children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The Infant Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Provide care for children, including assistance with personal hygiene, meals, and nap times.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
  • Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
  • Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an orderly environment.
  • First aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
