Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on infant and toddler milestones, including literacy education, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
  • Use curriculum development strategies to tailor activities that meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention support.
  • Foster strong communication with families through regular updates on child progress and classroom events.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent classroom management and uphold high standards of child welfare and safety.

Skills

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings, especially with infants and toddlers is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Proven ability to develop engaging curricula that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills.
  • Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment conducive to young children's growth.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored to infants and toddlers requiring additional support or special education services.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and team members.
  • Experience in lesson planning, tutoring, or teaching physical education within early childhood programs is preferred.

Pay: $11.15 - $14.00 per hour
