Inside Sales Representative

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Inside Sales Representative to join our growing technology sales team. This role plays a key part in supporting the success of our sales department by delivering expert product research, timely quote generation, and seamless collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. If you have a passion for technology sales, hardware/software quoting, and client success, this is the ideal opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with MCA Sales Team members, customers, and vendor partners

  • Facilitate external customer sales requests and provide excellent internal support

  • Research IT products, check availability, and ensure compatibility for accurate sales quotations

  • Manage vendor deal registrations and maintain follow-up to ensure competitive pricing

  • Participate in sales pipeline reviews and trend analysis

  • Create and deliver quotes for complex IT projects, proposals, and RFPs for external sales representatives

  • Identify compatibility issues, missing components, and opportunities to attach value-added products and services

  • Collaborate with the procurement team for efficient quote hand-off and smooth order processing

Qualifications:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Minimum of 2 years in an external, customer-facing sales role with sales experience a plus

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; ability to present solutions clearly and persuasively

  • Proficiency in calculating profit margins, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and Return on Investment (ROI)

  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure:

    • Network equipment: switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls

    • Server hardware: CPU core specs, RAM, RAID, SSD/NLSAS storage, optimized architecture

    • Server software: Windows Server, VMware, SQL, Client Access Licensing

    • Office 365 usage: Exchange, OneDrive, Microsoft Office tools

    • Peripheral devices: UPS systems, printers, scanners, monitors

  • Willingness to attend industry conferences (twice annually), participate in online training, and monthly webinars

What Success Looks Like:

A successful Inside Sales Representative develops a structured process to quickly and accurately fulfill quote requests. Most quote requests are completed within one business day, while more complex enterprise configurations are only delayed by vendor turnaround. High-performing reps ensure quotes are fully prepared for procurement with no need for revisions, and they strategically attach high-margin and value-added services that enhance the total opportunity.
