Job Description

As the Instructional Designer, you are responsible for creating and implementing engaging learning materials and experiences that align with organizational objectives. You will produce highly engaging interactive e-learning and video content for all topics related to Learning & Development. You will also assist in designing instructor led training content for use through PowerPoint and other similar formats. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), using instructional design principles, and leveraging technology to support employee development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design and development of creative, learner centred and performance based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple formats; including interactive e learning modules, classroom/instructor led learning, training videos, device learning labs and infographics
  • Assist in the evaluation of existing training materials, programs, and "off the shelf" products
  • Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate method of training design for both e learning programs and instructor led programs
  • Assist with the design and development of course materials using appropriate instructional design methodology
  • Collaborating with cross functional project teams to develop resources and programs that support organizational initiatives
  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify performance gaps and learning opportunities
  • Lead development of e learning training courses for both highly technical and non technical audiences
  • Incorporate ROI concepts into the analysis, design and development of learning and performance support needs
  • Communicate comfortably with managers, peers, and other design stakeholders
  • Create and develop multiple training content and video using editing software such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar
  • Use AI tools to generate e learning, videos and other content as well as localisation of all content into multiple languages
  • Manage Rotana's Learning Management System (RISE) content and user experience, collaborating with the Disprz team to ensure a seamless training offering
  • Collaborate with internal resources to define and develop the concepts of each project
  • Evaluate training content quality and effectiveness in achieving business goals and continuously improve learning materials based on data and user feedback
  • Interest and understanding of business news and Learning & Development industry trends are an added advantage
Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should preferably hold a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field, with solid experience in developing SCORM compliant e learning using tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, or Adobe Captivate. You must be proficient in instructional design principles, LMS management, and the creation of both e learning and instructor led training materials, with strong communication skills in English. Furthermore, experience working with SMEs, using AI tools for content development, and staying up to date with Learning & Development trends is essential.
