Job Description:
- Preparation of the training program including the development of lesson plans, lectures, notes/handouts, periodic tests, quizzes, results, daily, weekly & monthly attendance, overall assessment and findings, coordination with parents, student retention and motivational initiatives, identification and marking of dropouts
- Execution of training effectively & efficiently without deviating from the submitted plans and timelines with outstanding results for the students
- Coordinating with other staff members in the planning and execution of all internal activities like timetable development, monthly tests, admission tests, assessment and result announcement processes, etc.
- · Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment
- · Utilize innovative classroom techniques and methodologies that involve students in challenging learning opportunities;
- · Provide feedback to students that will enhance their academic growth
- · Maintaining discipline, encouraging creativity, motivation, attitude building and grooming of class students' to optimize results.
- · Monitor and report student attendance;
- · Attend faculty meetings to formatively evaluate student progress and determine improvement strategies for students;
- · Complete summative evaluations highlighting students’ strengths and needs;
- · Staying up-to-date on trends and changes in the industry/field through personal research as well as attending seminars, conferences, etc
Requirements:
- · Education: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Fashion Designing/Dressmaking or a relevant field.
- · Experience: 2 – 4 years of relevant experience (Prior teaching experience would be a plus)
- - Proven experience as a dressmaker or fashion designer, with expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.
- - Previous experience in delivering technical training or instruction, preferably in a vocational or educational setting.
- - Strong knowledge of dressmaking principles, fashion design concepts, and industry best practices.
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- - Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire and guide students in their design and sewing projects.
- Proficient in using sewing machines and other dressmaking tools and equipment.
