INSTRUMENT FOREMAN
Location: RLIC, Qatar
Project: Oil & Gas / LNG / Petrochemical
Position: Instrument Foreman
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide Instrument Technicians during Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning (PCC) activities.
- Supervise SAT, Loop Checks, Functional Tests, and vendor support activities.
- Conduct Safety Audits and ensure compliance with SHES and project standards.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to Supervisors/Engineers.
- Act as Permit Holder for field and technical room PCC works.
- Track and report any instrument issues or test errors during PCC.
- Coordinate with ICSS vendors for troubleshooting and technical resolutions.
- Manage manpower, tools, and permits efficiently.
- Verify and update instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, and wiring drawings.
- Install, calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot control instruments, analyzers, and F&G systems.
- Support Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping teams during field activities.
- Maintain and handle Master equipment and testing tools properly.
- Follow Permit to Work / LOTO systems and ensure safety compliance.
- Assist during Startup by monitoring and adjusting control systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas in a similar role
o Fieldbus (FF) and HART Instrument Systems
o Fire & Gas Instruments
o DCS, IPS, FGS, MMS & PLC systems
- Good command of English (spoken & written)
- Excellent leadership and troubleshooting skills
