Structural Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all site activities related to structural works, including steel fabrication, erection, installation of cladding sheets in oil and gas experience. The role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate structural fabrication, assembly, and erection activities at site or yard.
- Interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements to guide the team.
- Ensure all work is carried out according to project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve daily production targets.
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and quality inspectors to resolve technical issues.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and quality before handover.
- Prepare daily progress reports and communicate updates to the project team.
- Plan and allocate tasks to the workforce, ensuring optimal use of available resources.
- Ensure safe lifting and erection practices in coordination with rigging and crane teams.
- Maintain discipline, motivation, and safety awareness among crew members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in structural fabrication, erection, preferably in oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel drawings and fabrication standards.
- Familiarity with QA/QC requirements and work permit systems.
- Proficiency in managing site teams, subcontractors, and schedules.
