Instrumentation Engineer

The Instrumentation Engineer will support the selection, installation, testing, and commissioning of water meters and flow measurement systems. The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors, utilities, and internal teams to deliver accurate, standards-compliant measurement solutions for water infrastructure projects.

This role suits a technically strong professional with hands-on experience in water networks and flow measurement technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for water and flow meters (electromagnetic, ultrasonic, mechanical, insertion, bulk meters).
• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure correct meter selection and compliance.
• Support meter sizing, accuracy class selection, pressure loss calculations, and installation requirements.
• Supervise site installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning activities.
• Perform site inspections, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, datasheets, method statements, and compliance documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, utilities, and authorities for approvals and clarifications.
• Support integration with data loggers, AMR/AMI, telemetry, and SCADA systems.
• Liaise with OEMs for technical support, FAT participation, and training.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, EN, MID, AWWA, OIML).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with water meters and flow measurement systems.
• Experience in water networks, DMAs, transmission lines, or utility projects.
• Knowledge of flow measurement principles, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with data logging, AMR/AMI, and telemetry systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; willing to perform field work.
• Proficiency in MS Office and a valid Qatar driving license.
