We are hiring an experienced Insurance Estimator responsible for handling insurance-related repair jobs, preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with insurance companies and surveyors, and ensuring full compliance with UAE insurance regulations. The role also involves customer coordination and ethical claim handling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Inspection
- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles thoroughly
- Identify visible and hidden damages
- Take clear photos and videos for insurance documentation
- Record VIN number, mileage, and overall vehicle condition
2. Insurance Estimate Preparation
- Prepare detailed repair estimates including labor, parts, paint, and consumables
- Use insurance-approved labor rates and standard job codes
- Clearly separate repair vs. replacement items
- Specify OEM / Aftermarket / Used parts clearly
- Calculate depreciation as per insurance policy terms
3. Coordination with Insurance Companies
- Submit estimates via insurance portals or email
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors during vehicle inspections
- Explain technical repair methods and justifications clearly
- Revise estimates based on surveyor feedback and approvals
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete claim files (photos, estimates, approvals, supplements)
- Ensure all estimates comply with UAE insurance norms
- Avoid non-approved, unnecessary, or inflated charges
- Record all approvals, rejections, and remarks properly
5. Customer Handling
- Explain insurance procedures and repair scope to customers
- Inform customers about deductibles, depreciation, and policy exclusions
- Obtain customer approval before starting repair work
- Provide regular updates on claim and repair status
6. Supplementary Estimates
- Raise supplementary estimates for hidden or additional damages
- Justify additional repairs with proper documentation and photos
- Obtain written insurance approval before proceeding with extra work
7. Final Billing Support
- Verify that final invoices match approved insurance estimates
- Coordinate with accounts team for claim submission
- Ensure claims are closed after payment confirmation
8. Ethical & Professional Standards
- Follow transparent and ethical estimating practices
- Do not submit false or exaggerated damage claims
- Maintain professional conduct with surveyors, insurers, and customers
Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and bodywork
- Good understanding of motor insurance claim procedures
- Familiar with GT Estimate, or manual estimating systems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
