Key Responsibilities:
- Handle insurance patient registration, admission, and discharge procedures.
- Prepare and submit pre-authorization forms to the concerned TPA/insurance company.
- Follow up on approval and enhancement requests from insurance companies.
- Coordinate with doctors and billing departments for required medical records and cost estimates.
- Ensure proper documentation of all insurance claims and maintain records for audit purposes.
- Handle cashless and reimbursement claims efficiently and ensure timely submission.
- Communicate with TPAs, insurance coordinators, and patients for claim-related queries.
- Verify insurance policy details, coverage, and validity.
- Maintain a tracker/report of daily insurance admissions, pending approvals, and claim status.
- Follow up for claim settlements and update the management regularly.
- Ensure compliance with hospital and insurance company policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce,
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital insurance billing or TPA coordination.
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, claim documentation, and medical terminologies.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, HIS software).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases efficiently.
