Interior Design Assistant

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, or closely related fields (architecture, environmental design, etc.). diploma/certificate if experience .
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an assistant interior design.
• Technical Skills:
• Ability to design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp)
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
• Ability to produce drawings, mood boards, sample/specification documentation, schedules etc.
• Other Skills / Soft Skills:
• Detail-oriented, good eye for color, materials, finishes.
• Good communication & organizational skills.
• Ability to work in teams, follow instructions, assist senior designers.
• Sometimes fluency in Arabic (spoken & written) is required or highly preferred.
• Other: Site visits / ability to survey spaces; liaise with suppliers, contractors; keeping up-to-date with design trends, materials / sample libraries.
• knows how to communicate with clients and getting projects.
• e-commerce experience and furniture design (if any).

Typical Responsibilities

These are what you’d expect to see/do as part of the role:

• Assist the senior/interior designer in preparing design concepts, moodboards, material & finishes selection.
• Help create / maintain project documentation: drawings, specifications, schedules.
• Source & specify FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment)with BOQs.
• Maintain and organize sample libraries.
• Attend site visits & surveys.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors to ensure deliverables.
• Assist in client communication when needed.
• Administrative support: arranging meetings, tracking project progress, helping with presentations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
