Interior Designer

Jacoby Architects is seeking an interior designer to join our team! Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who also takes direction well, a big picture thinker who also has an eye for detail, a results-driven worker who also possesses the technical skills to back it up. You will be collaborating and interacting with everyone in the office, so you need to be comfortable operating with a team. We are a smaller firm with a family feel that values collaboration, hard work, and focus.

We are looking for an eager, talented individual to help us in the following ways:

  • Assist with all stages of the interior design process: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and FF&E move-in/installation
  • Prepare drawings, renderings, selection of color, materials, and finishes and/or sample boards
  • Research product specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements
  • Take on all interior design elements, including space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, color coordination, electrical placement and recommendations, installation drawings, and reconfiguration
  • Assist architects with drawings in Revit and other tasks they need assistance with

Software Experience Requirements (3 years minimum):

  • Autodesk Revit
  • Autodesk Autocad
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe In-Design

Must have 3 years of Commercial Project Experience in a professional setting. Examples of project types:

  • Early Childhood Education Facilities
  • K-12 Education Facilities
  • Higher Education Facilities
  • Special Education Facilities
  • Ski Resort Facilities
  • Hospitality Facilities
  • Retail Facilities
  • Office Facilities

Must have 3 years Experience in Commercial Project Tasks in a professional setting. Examples of project tasks:

  • photo-realistic renderings
  • floor plans
  • building elevations
  • ceiling plans and details
  • interior materials, layouts, and finishes
  • interior elevations
  • casework design
  • furniture design and procurement
  • American Disabilities Act (ADA) design
  • Research materials, technologies, and products to incorporate into designs.
  • Facility Program documentation
  • Incorporate LEED sustainable design principles and strategies into projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,584.03 - $71,757.11 per year
