Interior Designer for Residential Design-Build-Remodel Firm

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Interior Design Consultant with a heart to serve to join our growing team! As a design-build firm, the goal of the designer is to serve our clients well by addressing their concerns with their current space and providing creative, functional and aesthetically beautiful residential renovation or custom home design solutions that align with their budget.

Duties:

  • Work with the sales consultant to understand project scope of work and client needs for residential interior renovations, additions, and new builds.
  • Adhere to procedures and schedules lined out for the design phase.
  • Connect with clients regularly and practice active listening to address their wants and needs.
  • Provide the client with practical design and layout recommendations based on the project scope, budget, existing space and recent trends.
  • Guide the client in material selections that fit the budget of their scope of work.
  • Accompany the client in HTZ design studio or vendor showroom appointments.
  • Maintain the HTZ design studio offerings and keep materials up to date and organized.
  • Create mood boards.
  • Verify measurements of existing space including accurate cabinet measurements to the 1/16th.
  • Facilitate a Trade Day on the job site for trade partners to understand the project and dig deep into feasibility and any potential roadblocks.
  • Accompany the client at Walk Your Plans if there are layout changes before the final design presentation
  • Price out material selections for the estimator to finalize project cost.
  • Assist with design material ordering as needed including placing and signing off on cabinet orders.
  • Prepare documents for client presentations and the production team at the start of construction.
  • Work with the production department and aid in the correction of any errors and/or omissions on the plans.
  • Attend site visits during construction for check-ins and major milestones such as cabinet install, counter template, tile installation.
  • ​​Keep up on internal and external communication in company used softwares based on set communication standards
  • Verify accuracy and functionality drawings and 3D renderings for the client and construction team. ​​
  • Participate in the team meetings and company events.

Skills:

  • Ability to apply the fundamentals of design from ideas to final construction plans.
  • Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Great analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and a desire to serve.
  • Must have some knowledge of renovation and construction
  • Knowledge of computers and software including Chief Architect and AI are a plus.
  • Desire for continuous growth in personal and professional development.
  • Must maintain a professional image and demonstrate a high level of integrity and most importantly align with our core values.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
