The International Import & Export Logistics Manager is responsible for managing all international parts logistics operations supporting Mopar NAFTA Global Source Warehouses and Mopar International warehouses. This role ensures compliant, cost-effective, and reliable material flows across all trade lanes and transportation modes, while leading a team and managing key third-party logistics providers.
Operations Management

Manage day-to-day import and export logistics operations for material flows into Mopar NAFTA Global Source Warehouses and Mopar International warehouses across ocean, air, and ground transportation modes. Lead export consolidation center(s) and manage 3PL provider performance, ensuring compliance with SOPs, routing guides, and performance targets.

Oversee inventory management, freight management, freight forwarding, and transportation operations to support global parts distribution.
Team Leadership

Lead, develop, and coach a team of Operations/Logistics Analysts.

Serve as subject matter expert for international logistics within the Mopar organization Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain Planning, Warehousing, Finance, and Regional Mopar teams.
Performance & Metrics

Establish, track, and continuously improve KPIs including ontime performance, transit time, cost per unit, damage rates, and customs compliance metrics

Build and maintain operational dashboards and analytics using Excel, Access, and business intelligence tools

Provide regular reporting and performance insights to senior leadership.
Process Improvements

Develop, document, and maintain best-practice processes and work instructions for import/export operations Lead cost-reduction and network optimization initiatives while protecting service levels

Ensure full compliance with global trade and customs regulations, including documentation accuracy, HS classification, and corporate trade compliance policies.

Drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies with service providers and internal teams.
Carrier Management

Manage relationships with global freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other service providers Negotiate rates and service levels in partnership with.

Purchasing/Supply Chain Monitor carrier and provider compliance with performance thresholds.
Financial Management

Support annual budgeting and ongoing freight spend management.

Conduct variance analysis and track productivity for international logistics operations.

Manage multimillion-dollar freight spend with focus on cost optimization.
Business Continuity

Provide escalation support during major service disruptions including port congestion, carrier issues, or regulatory changes Lead cross-functional recovery activities and develop contingency plans.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics/supply chain.

At least 3 years focused on international import/export operations (ocean and air freight)

Minimum 2 years leading teams or managing external partners (3PLs, freight forwarders, customs brokers).

Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar freight spend and delivering measurable cost savings

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or similar database/BI tools. Ability to build and manage KPI dashboards and interpret large data sets.
