The Inventory Controller at LALS Chocolates plays a critical role in ensuring accurate stock levels, smooth inventory flow, and timely product availability across production and retail channels. This position requires analytical precision, hands-on operational management, and strong collaboration with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to maintain an optimized inventory system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Inventory Operations Conduct morning meetings to review stock levels, highlight shortages, and plan replenishment with the purchasing and warehouse teams. Oversee inbound shipments—verify delivery notes, invoices, and storage accuracy. Maintain organized and labeled stock across all storage areas.

2. Data Management & Analysis Analyze sales trends and consumption data to forecast inventory needs. Update and reconcile data in the Inventory Management System (IMS) with high accuracy. Prepare regular inventory reports, highlighting variances, slow-moving, and fast-moving items.

3. Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Coordination Coordinate picking, packing, and dispatch processes for production and retail orders. Ensure all stock movements (inward/outward transfers, returns, damages) are properly documented. Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.

4. Inventory Control & Accuracy Perform periodic physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Identify root causes of variances and recommend corrective actions. Monitor expiry dates and shelf-life management, especially for perishable products.

5. Process Improvement & Problem Solving Collaborate with teams to develop more efficient inventory procedures and workflows. Troubleshoot supply or stock issues, expedite urgent orders, and adjust purchasing schedules as needed. Support audit processes and compliance with company inventory policies.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:• 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, or retail environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods and forecasting techniques.
