Inventory Controller

Role Overview

The inventory Controller must be detail-oriented with strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound stocks, and ensuring efficient storage, issuance, and control of materials.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations

· Maintain accurate inventory records in the system.

· Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and equipment.

· Record accurate tracking of outgoing materials and equipment.

· Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of stock.

· Issue materials as per approved requests and maintain stock movement records.

· Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliation.

· Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely reordering to avoid shortages.

· Ensure compliance with safety and security

· Prepare inventory reports, monthly stock updates, ageing reports and provide updates to management.

· Coordinate with procurement, logistics, accounts and other internal departments.

· Coordinate closely with suppliers and cargo partners to accelerate procurement procedures and ensure on-time arrival of goods.

· Liaise with cargo agents and provide all required documentation for product clearance prior to arrival, including Commercial Registration (CR), MSDS, covering sheets, and product catalogues.

· Coordinate and align with Stores / Operations team to support day-to-day activities and ensure operational efficiency.

Startup Expectations (Very Important)

· Strong hands-on experience in inventory control and supply chain operations

· Strong organizational, record-keeping, and reporting skills.

· Ability to manage inventory efficiently and accurately.

· Conduct surprise stock count checks at retail outlets

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 5 years of experience as an inventory controller / storekeeper or in a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of IT systems, inventory management software, and MS Excel.

· Good understanding of warehouse management systems

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Knowledge of basic safety and storage standards.
