Inventory Controller & Storekeeper – Central Kitchen

Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Controller & Storekeeper to join our Central Kitchen team. This role is critical in managing inventory, ensuring the efficient storage of ingredients and supplies, and supporting procurement activities to maintain seamless kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience in inventory management and procurement within a food production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming ingredients and supplies, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels and updating the inventory system daily.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the management team.

Storage Organization:

  • Organize and maintain the central kitchen’s storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, rotation (FIFO), and storage conditions to preserve ingredient freshness.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP) in all storage practices.

Procurement Support:

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring ingredients and supplies, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Compare supplier quotes to secure cost-effective, high-quality products while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms when necessary.

Order Coordination:

  • Process purchase requisitions from the kitchen team and ensure timely ordering to prevent shortages.
  • Track and confirm delivery schedules, addressing any delays or issues promptly.

Record Keeping:

  • Document all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
  • Prepare periodic reports on inventory levels, consumption trends, and procurement activities for management review.

Waste Management:

  • Monitor expiration dates and minimize waste by coordinating with the kitchen team on ingredient usage.
  • Implement proper disposal or recycling procedures for packaging materials in line with company policies.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the kitchen team, chefs, and management to anticipate inventory needs and align procurement with production schedules.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
