Inventory Coordinator

About the Role:

The Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the inventory processes to ensure accurate stock levels and timely availability of products. This position is responsible for coordinating inventory activities, including tracking shipments, reconciling stock discrepancies, and maintaining detailed records to support operational efficiency. The Inventory Coordinator collaborates closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. By analyzing inventory data and trends, the coordinator helps drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain performance. Ultimately, this role ensures that inventory management supports the overall business objectives and customer satisfaction in the Grand Island location.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in supply chain management or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in inventory management or coordination, preferably in a warehouse or retail environment.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and update inventory records daily to maintain accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to track incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to forecast inventory requirements and adjust stock levels accordingly.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and obsolescence.
• Assist in the development and execution of inventory audits and compliance checks.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
