Position Overview
The Inventory Officer – Retail is responsible for managing stock levels, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient store operations across all retail outlets. This role ensures timely stock replenishment, assists in audits, and collaborates with finance, accounts, and store teams to maintain seamless inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain stock levels in retail stores to ensure product availability.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with ERP/POS records.
- Assist in replenishment planning and coordinate with supply chain teams for timely deliveries.
2. Stock Receiving & Dispatch
- Support the receiving of goods at retail stores, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
- Assist in dispatching stock to other stores or fulfilling online order requirements.
3. Audits & Compliance
- Participate in store audits and inventory verification.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to senior inventory staff.
4. Coordination with Teams
- Collaborate with store managers, accounts, and finance teams for smooth stock management and reporting.
- Support the Senior Inventory Executive or Inventory Manager in implementing inventory initiatives.
5. Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports for management review.
6. Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in store-level inventory management and suggest improvements.
- Assist in implementing best practices to reduce shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field.
- Diploma or certification in Inventory/Logistics is a plus.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, retail operations, or warehouse operations.
- Experience with ERP systems, POS, and stock management software preferred.
