Inventory Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail‑driven, organized, and proactive Merchandising & Inventory Specialist to support our retail team by ensuring the sales floor is always stocked, compliant, and visually appealing. This role focuses heavily on reshelving, auditing, product organization, and merchandising execution, helping maintain a seamless customer experience and accurate inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Sales Floor Presentation

  • Restock and merchandise the sales floor throughout the day based on par levels, sell‑through, and team needs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing product displays that align with brand and compliance standards.
  • Rotate product using FIFO/FEFO to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
  • Ensure all shelves, cases, and displays are properly labeled with pricing, THC %, batch numbers, and regulatory information.
  • Assist with setting up promotional displays, new product drops, and seasonal merchandising resets.

Inventory Auditing & Accuracy

  • Conduct routine audits of sales floor inventory to ensure counts match POS and METRC data.
  • Identify discrepancies and communicate findings to management for resolution.
  • Verify batch numbers, package tags, and product details for compliance and accuracy.
  • Support weekly and monthly inventory counts by preparing, organizing, and verifying product.

Product Movement & Team Support

  • Transfer product from the inventory room to the sales floor in a compliant, organized manner.
  • Maintain a clean, structured backstock area for efficient restocking.
  • Communicate low‑stock alerts, fast‑moving items, and product needs to management and budtenders.
  • Assist with labeling, sorting, and prepping product for display or storage.
  • Pull expired, damaged, or recalled product immediately and document according to SOPs.

Compliance & Operational Standards

  • Ensure all merchandising and inventory handling follows state cannabis regulations and internal SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate labeling, pricing, and product information at all times.
  • Support compliance audits by keeping sales floor inventory organized and properly documented.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in retail merchandising, inventory, or cannabis operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counts, labels, and product placement.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
  • Understanding of cannabis product types, packaging, and compliance requirements (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain structured systems.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining consistent standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs as needed for restocking and merchandising.
  • Comfortable working in secure inventory areas and handling cannabis products.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
