Job Title: Inventory Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Administration
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt or Exempt (depending on hours/salary)
Work Location: 115 Forst St., Norwich, Connecticut 06360 (on-site)

Summary

The Inventory Supervisor oversees all aspects of cannabis product inventory management for the licensed micro-cultivation facility. This includes tracking plant material and finished goods through the seed-to-sale system, ensuring full compliance with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) regulations, and maintaining accurate and timely records under CFR 211 and internal SOPs. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and collaboration across Cultivation, Post-Harvest, and Compliance teams to ensure integrity of product movement and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and real-time Finished Goods inventory records in BioTrack and coordinate with wholesale team members on wholesale platform inventory.
  • Oversee all cannabis inventory creation, room transfers and product conversion across all departments, including cultivation, production, packaging and finished goods.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations between physical counts and electronic records.
  • Lead quarterly and annual physical inventory audits in accordance with DCP regulations.
  • Generate and review inventory discrepancy and variance reports, investigate causes, and document corrective actions.
  • Ensure all packaged, labeled, and stored materials meet DCP requirements and internal SOP standards for segregation, quarantine, and release.
  • Supervise and train Inventory Specialist or other designated staff in inventory handling and compliance procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager, Production Supervisor and Cure Supervisor to ensure batch records, packaging logs, and destruction logs are accurately completed and filed.
  • Track and manage waste, returns, and product destruction in compliance with DCP policies and facility SOPs.
  • Support order fulfillment, ensuring accurate pick lists, manifests, and DCP-approved transportation documentation.
  • Maintain an organized, secure, and compliant storage environment in all inventory-controlled areas.
  • Prepare inventory and compliance reports for management, auditors, and DCP inspections as required.
  • Participate in SOP development, updates, and internal audit readiness.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or regulated industries (pharmaceutical, food, cannabis, or similar).
  • Prior experience with seed-to-sale tracking software (BioTrack or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CT DCP Adult-Use Cannabis Regulations, CFR 211 documentation practices, and OSHA workplace safety standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift to 35 lbs.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interface with DCP agents, management, and cross-departmental staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold strict compliance standards.

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a secured cultivation and processing environment subject to video surveillance and controlled access.
  • Must adhere to PPE and safety standards.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and data entry throughout the day.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
