  • Locates and interviews witnesses, victims, and other persons deemed to be involved in a Human Trafficking criminal investigations; Collects evidence and records; Seizes contraband and arrests violators when necessary.
  • Reviews criminal cases as assigned in determining course of action to be followed.
  • Provides security, including transportation, for victims and witnesses during courtroom appearances and proceedings.
  • Act as Liaison between County Law Enforcement Agencies, service providers and prosecutors.
  • Develop strategy to initiate pro-active, data-informed, sex and labor Trafficking Investigation.
  • Network and represent the FB ATC to external partners.
  • Serves and assists with subpoenas, citations, arrest and search warrants.
  • Assists Chief Investigator and outside law enforcement agencies with criminal case information.
  • Represent the FB ATC at community events as well as lead planning and execution of annual Human Trafficking Awareness Event.
  • Responds to inquiries, resolves, and/or refers to proper person or agency.
  • Act as a liaison between law enforcement agencies, service providers, and prosecutors’ offices to implement FB ATC policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Chief Investigator.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Intermediate TCOLE Certification and Firearm Certification.
  • 5 years Investigative experience.
  • Knowledge of TLETS/NLETS, TCIC/NCIC, and JIMS/HPD computer databases.
  • Good computer and typing skills; working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and database software.
  • Organizational skills and ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of investigative experience, demonstrating a comprehensive background in handling a diverse array of cases. This should include, but is not limited to, investigations involving robbery, homicide, internet crimes against children, human trafficking, and other complex or high-profile incidents.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $36.56 - $45.70 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
