Job Overview
Under general direction of the IOC Supervisor, oversees all operational activities for board operated gates and Board-managed hardstands and aircraft parking ramps.
What you will be doing:
Schedules DFW Board-operated aircraft parking gates and hardstand spots by utilizing a Resource Management System (RMS), monitors gate and hardstand operations, maintains situational awareness of terminal gate and hardstand availability.
Provides notification to airlines of gate changes and gate scheduling conflicts.
Coordinates and communicates with airlines; updates flight information display systems (FIDS).
Researches and recommends operational solutions to issues such as equipment changes, gate changes, flight cancellations, etc. for all flights assigned to Board-operated gates.
Prioritizes ground service support activities when a flight is delayed or at risk of a delay.
Coordinates with air carriers for prompt movement of aircraft as dictated by scheduled gate operations.
Reports on landing fees and other airport fees for services provided to scheduled air carrier flights, unscheduled air carrier flights, and charter flights; documents transactions.
Monitors ramp activities via CCTV for compliance with airport safety procedures, airport
driving procedures, contractual agreements and environmental requirements; reports
discrepancies and non-compliance to the appropriate department or agency.
Manages and schedules hardstand parking by evaluating aircraft type, size, schedule, and terminal/ramp requirements.
Coordinates aircraft parking on airfield as needed and assignments during periods of
irregular operations (IROPS) events.
Coordinates aircraft ground handling services for non-DFW air carriers that may utilize
facilities during IROPS events.
Communicates maintenance requests of tenants to Energy & Asset Management; monitors work completion.
Communicates via phone and radio communication with stakeholders, including but not limited to, contractors, building tenants, airlines, federal agencies and the public.
Coordinates tenant airline and charter operator deicing operations.
What you need:
Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in customer service experience in airport, airfield or airline operations including one (1) year experience in a position requiring extensive public contact.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
Must be able to work various shifts, as well as holidays and weekends.
Proficiency with Resource Management System.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug screening test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
This is a designated Essential Employee position as defined in DFW Airport’s Categories and Classifications Administrative Policy and Procedure. An essential employee is one whose attendance is required to maintain airport operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.
Ability to obtain and maintain an FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance.
What we desire:
Associate degree or some of college course credit preferred.
Experience in airline customer service.
