IoT Engineer GPS / Vehicle Tracker Systems

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IoT-based GPS tracking solutions
• Work with GPS trackers, sensors, CAN/OBD devices, dashcams
• Integrate devices with cloud platforms and tracking servers
• Handle device configuration, firmware updates, and OTA
• Develop and maintain APIs (REST/MQTT/WebSockets)
• Ensure real-time data transmission via GSM/LTE/NB-IoT
• Debug hardware–software issues and improve device stability
• Collaborate with mobile/web teams for tracking platforms
• Optimize power consumption and device performance

Required Skills

• Strong experience with GPS tracking devices
• Protocols: TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP, UDP
• Microcontrollers: ESP32, STM32, Arduino (any)
• Programming: C/C++, Python, Node.js (any one solid)
• Cellular tech: 2G/4G/LTE/NB-IoT
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP (IoT Core preferred)
• Knowledge of SIM management & APNs
• Database basics: MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB

Nice to Have

• Experience with ADAS, dashcams, fuel sensors
• Knowledge of vehicle CAN bus
• Android/iOS app integration experience
• Prior work in fleet management systems
