Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and networks
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights (Active Directory, email, VPN, etc.)
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and security
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and recovery procedures
- Implement and enforce IT policies, security standards, and best practices
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed
- Support onboarding/offboarding of employees from an IT perspective
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- IT certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid work environments
