Job Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and applications. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting end-users to maximize productivity and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems (servers, workstations, printers, routers, etc.).
- Monitor system performance, ensure security, and perform regular backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users, both remotely and on-site.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with company policies.
- Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and inventory.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, including anti-virus, firewall, and data protection measures.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies, software, and hardware to improve operations.
- Provide technical support for software applications, email systems, and network connectivity.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and support.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer networks, servers, and virtualization.
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and common business software.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
