IT Asset Manager (3-Month Contract)

We are looking for an experienced IT Asset Manager to join a global team supporting the management of software and technology-related hardware as part of a large transformation project in the construction and real estate sector. The role focuses on managing the IT asset lifecycle and ensuring software license compliance, with a strong emphasis on using ServiceNow and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Team and Structure

The selected candidate will collaborate with an international team and a dedicated Project Manager. There will be no direct reports, but strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are expected.

Technologies and Systems Used

• ServiceNow – Configuration and Asset Management (CMS/SAM).
• Power BI / Tableau – Reporting and analysis.
• Excel – Advanced data analytics.
• Systems for managing license agreements, invoices, and usage rights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records of licenses, warranties, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure accuracy of asset data in the ServiceNow system (CMS).
• Review and analyze over 800 applications.
• Verify and enter license agreement details into the system.
• Manage license renewals and provide guidance where applicable.
• Identify and collect missing entitlement and licensing documents.
• Assess license usage rights, including cloud and VDI environments.
• Assist in preparing software installation packages.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Software asset compliance and utilization.
• Accuracy and completeness of asset records.
• Internal customer service and satisfaction levels.
• Process automation and operational efficiency through ITSM tools.

Requirements

Must have:

• Proven experience in IT asset management (software/hardware).
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow.
• Understanding of software licensing models and contract terms.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, amendments, and usage rights.

Nice to have:

• University degree in IT, finance, or a related field.
• Certifications: ITIL v3/v4, SAM, ServiceNow.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Advanced data analysis skills and strong proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with database systems and data warehouses.
