IT Business Analyst - Full Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Business Analyst’s role is to assess Fontainebleau’s upcoming projects and provide support where needed. This is a high visibility role as you will interact with executives, and stakeholders across Fontainebleau’s businesses from casino, hotel, marketing, restaurants, and nightlight. This position will also work with product owners to understand and analyze business objectives and formulate ideas and action plans. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the product team determine which projects have the best potential to initiate and build.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Work with decision makers, product owners, and end users to assess new product opportunities
  • Conduct research, gather and analyze data on user needs, market trends, competitors, vendors, new technologies and software to justify recommendations
  • Lead product team’s efforts to define, validate, and document business and technical requirements
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and specs to ensure documentation is clear
  • Assist with project management (e.g., ensure successful product deployment with staff and end user training)
  • Work with product owners to convert roadmap features into smaller more concise user stories
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed solutions
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience in business analyst work
  • Ideally previous experience within the casino or hospitality industries
  • Proven experience gathering and creating business requirements and specs and seeing a product through to launch
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills with extensive practical knowledge of data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Strong customer service orientation

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
