IT Business Developer

The IT Business Developer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth through the sale of IT products, services, and solutions. The role focuses on lead generation, solution selling, and account development across corporate and enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in IT services and solutions
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and decision-makers
• Present IT solutions tailored to client business needs
• Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets

Client & Account Management

• Understand client requirements and translate them into IT solutions
• Coordinate with technical and pre-sales teams for solution design
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations
• Negotiate commercial terms and close deals
• Maintain long-term client relationships and encourage repeat business

Market & Strategy

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis
• Identify trends in IT, digital transformation, and technology adoption
• Support go-to-market strategies and product positioning
• Track sales pipeline and update CRM systems

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with technical, project, and operations teams
• Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery teams
• Support contract renewals and upselling opportunities
• Provide regular sales and pipeline reports to management

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

• IT services (software, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, CRM)
• Basic understanding of networking, systems, or digital solutions
• Proposal and tender preparation

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• 8–12 years experience in IT sales or business development
• Experience selling IT services, software, cloud, cybersecurity, or managed services is preferred
