IT Consultant – Job Description

An IT Consultant is a technology professional who advises businesses on how to use information technology to meet their goals, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and solve technical problems. They analyze a company’s current systems, recommend improvements, and often help implement new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the company’s IT infrastructure and systems
• Identify technical problems and provide strategic solutions
• Recommend hardware, software, or network upgrades
• Design and implement IT systems and security measures
• Manage IT projects and coordinate with technical teams
• Provide technical guidance to management and staff
• Ensure systems comply with data protection and cybersecurity standards
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to stakeholders

Daily Tasks May Include

• Meeting with clients to understand business needs
• Reviewing network security and system performance
• Creating IT strategy plans
• Supervising software installations or system migrations
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Training employees on new systems

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Project management skills
• Communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure)

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), or ITIL are an advantage

Pay: AED82,000.00 - AED95,000.00 per year
