Work Arrangement:

Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Richmond, VA and 3 days remote

Interview Type:

Pay Rate:

  • W2: $60.00 per hour
  • C2C: $73.00 per hour

  • Local to Virginia (VA) candidates only
  • Local Driver’s License (DL) is mandatory
  • 10+ years of professional experience required
  • BRMP Certification (Business Relationship Management Professional) required
  • Candidate must physically reside in the United States (offshore work not allowed)
  • Contractor will be responsible for purchasing or arranging parking via VDOT’s Parking Management Office

Short Summary:

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking an experienced IT Customer Relationship Manager to act as a strategic liaison between business divisions and the Information Technology Division (ITD).
This role requires a professional with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills who can manage escalations, build relationships, and drive successful IT service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary liaison between business partners and the IT Division.
  • Communicate directly with executive and senior leadership regularly.
  • Partner with IT leadership to ensure effective and continuous service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and business units to identify product lines and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to manage requests, priorities, and escalations.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and service improvement.
  • Manage business partner expectations for IT engagement and delivery.
  • Handle escalations for technology procurements and service delivery.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring alignment between business needs and IT outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with VDOT and VITA standards and policies.
