OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented IT Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee all aspects of IT vendor management, contract negotiations, and budget alignment. This role will manage the full lifecycle of IT contracts, identify cost optimization opportunities, and collaborate closely with Finance, FP&A, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and reporting of IT spend. The ideal candidate will also support invoice approvals, GL coding accuracy, and budget variance analysis in partnership with IT budget owners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract / Vendor Management:

  • Lead the negotiation, execution, and renewal of IT contracts, including software, hardware, cloud services, and consulting agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendors and service providers.
  • Work with budget owners to evaluate vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships to ensure alignment with business goals.

Cost Optimization & Strategic Sourcing:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across IT categories.
  • Drive competitive bidding processes (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) as needed.
  • Work closely with IT, Legal, Procurement, Accounting, and Finance teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Support IT leadership in strategic planning and vendor road mapping.

Budgeting, Financial Planning & Invoice Management:

  • Partner with FP&A and budget owners to develop and manage the IT budget.
  • Work directly with budget owners to monitor and explain budget variances and support ongoing forecasting efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Payables team to review and approve IT-related invoices, ensuring proper GL coding and alignment with budget allocations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of IT categories including software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure, and managed services.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, vendor performance management, and financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with GL coding, invoice workflows, and budget variance analysis
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Must be able to prioritized, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.
  • A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
