General Summary

About the Role

Qualcomm is seeking a Network Engineer with foundational networking skills and a strong interest in network security to support enterprise and engineering network environments in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for an early career engineer looking to grow technical depth while working alongside experienced global network and security teams.

You will assist with network operations, troubleshooting, and security implementations, while developing hands-on experience in enterprise, data center, and cloud-connected networks.

Key Responsibilities will include

Network Operations & Support

• Assist in the operation and monitoring of enterprise and data center network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, DC)
• Support day-to-day network tasks including configuration changes, patching, and incident resolution
• Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, performance, and availability issues
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while contributing to root cause analysis
  
  
  

Network Security Support

• Support implementation and maintenance of network security controls on firewalls
• Help ensure network configurations align with Qualcomm security standards and local compliance requirements
• Participate in vulnerability remediation and security reviews under guidance from senior engineers
  
  
  

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with global network, security, and IT teams across multiple regions
• Maintain and update network documentation
• Participate in change management and follow defined operational procedures
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in networking
• Foundational knowledge of:
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Basic routing and switching concepts (VLANs, routing fundamentals)
• Network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, least privilege, segmentation)
• Familiarity with enterprise networking or security tools (vendor-agnostic)
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and eagerness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Candidates must be Saudi nationals with strong English proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  
  
  

OR

1+ year of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing), or related field.

OR

3+ years of IT-related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
